What you will be doing:
This role is responsible for collaborating with other departments and partnering with Business Data Analysts to develop and integrate data models to meet business needs. You will act as the subject matter expert, translating data insights and analysis into new data models, clarify any questions about data inquiries,
and partner with departments to help utilize current data models to their advantage. As a data engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining key business metrics and guiding new data discovery processes to increase efficiency and growth of the department. Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Economics) or equivalent professional experience.
- Expertise in dbt (data build tool), including macros, packages, and CI/CD integration for data modeling.
- 2+ years of experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks).
- 2+ years of experience with SQL and Python, specifically geared toward complex data transformation and automation.
