St. Johns County Division of Animal Control is seeking an Administrative Assistant to work at our St. Johns County Pet Adoption and Holding Center located in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida.
Employees work in a team-oriented environment in a variety of divisions with two common goals in mind: to provide the best services to our citizens and to be the best Pet Adoption Center in North Florida.

The purpose of this position is to provide specialized clerical support for the day-to-day operations of the Division of Animal Control and the Pet Center. Success in this position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of division operations.
Essential Responsibilities
Provides customer service by answering phones, responding to voice mails and emails, and resolving customer complaints.
Processes incoming and outgoing mail, as well as other communications.
Assists with the preparation of documents (may include but not limited to deposit forms, minutes, correspondence, legal advertisements, notary public services, fee collection, and forms, agendas or reports for other County departments).
Provides data entry and record maintenance for countywide database systems (both electronic and paper files) which may include but is not limited to employee records, payroll records, and the use of Cou
