Contributes to the overall success of the GWO Confirmations - Securities Settlements team globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountability
Ensure the timely, accurate execution of the full settlement lifecycle across markets.
Ensures timely confirmation of trades by tracking unmatched transactions across the unit & proactively analyzing/addressing root causes.
Provides insight and support to management during planning, organizing and successful implementation of projects affecting the unit’s operations.
Proactively supports management efforts to monitor group activity to ensure internal control procedures remain effective, are understood and adhered to.
Supports management efforts to motivate staff, increase individual performance, execute a robust training schedule and assign workstation responsibilities fairly.
Ensure a high degree of operational efficiency, processing accuracy, and conformity to Bank regulation
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Integral Handbook and the Guide
