Senior Performance Engineer at BairesDev
As a Senior Performance Engineer, you will lead the efforts to optimize low-level systems and ensure our infrastructure operates at peak efficiency. You will act as the vital link between hardware capabilities and software execution, fine-tuning the Linux kernel and subsystems to support massive-scale operations.
What You'll Do
Conduct deep-dive analysis of CPU, memory, and I/O subsystems to identify and eliminate root causes of latency.
Design and execute comprehensive performance characterization plans for high-traffic distributed systems.
Develop custom observability tools using eBPF to monitor system health and performance in real-time.
Optimize kernel parameters and process scheduling to maximize hardware utilization and throughput.
Collaborate with engineering teams to provide architectural recommendations based on detailed profiling data.
Automate the validation of performance regressions within the deployment pipeline to ensure consistent system reliability.
What We Are Looking For
4+ years of experience in Performance Engineering, Systems Engineering, or low-level Linux development.
Proven expertise in Linux kernel tuning and deep understanding of kernel internals, including I/O subsystems and memory management.
Proficiency in systems programming with C/C++ and working with eBPF for observability and performance monitoring.
