Under limited supervision reporting to DOR’s General Counsel, serves as a Business Analyst responsible for analyzing business needs of our collection team as their duties relate to the enforcement of South Carolina tax laws. This individual will be responsible for sharing knowledge of the use of tax data contained in our integrated tax systems to effectuate successful team collections. In addition, knowledge of the various sections and their functions within DOR is critical in being able to navigate through the agency for assistance and support needed. Analyzing and recommending enhancements to DOR tax systems to provide reports to improve the functionality of the team is also a responsibility of this analyst. This individual will work with DOR’s upper management as well as the Director to evaluate and troubleshoot any and all collection issues with the team, and after analysis of same, provide business solutions. Knowledge in all areas of taxation administered by DOR is essential to this position,
along with expertise in analyzing specific collection reports generated by our integrated tax systems.

Work closely with Security and Technology Services staff as needed.
