Primary Job Function:
Responsible for the purchasing, continuity of supply, Supplier Relationship management and stakeholder alignment activities for all categories and subcategories consisting of multiple business units and geographical areas. Lead “One Abbott Procurement” vision across divisions globally and drive synergies among divisions. Work closely with key stakeholders in both Corporate and Division organizations to develop effective end to end strategies and execute plans and performance metrics. Nurture stakeholder relationships by serving as a business partner, helping identify critical business requirements and deliver best in class sourcing and procurement solutions. Leverage extensive market and supplier relationships to enhance margin and elevate financial performance. Be recognized by the industry and community as thought leaders and change agents. Proactively identifies new business opportunities, process improvement, cost efficiencies and innovative solutions. Provides insight to the business unit(s)
on how to best develop and leverage Supplier capabilities for the organization(s). Primary point of contact for overall category leads. Responsible for prioritizing demand globally across the category
