Position Overview
Vinnie Mac is a full-service marketing agency that helps home service and restoration contractors grow their businesses with proven digital marketing strategies. The SEO Strategist owns the search engine optimization strategy across a portfolio of restoration and home services clients — spanning technical SEO, on-page optimization, local SEO, and off-page authority building.
This is a well-rounded SEO role. We are not looking for someone who only does link building or only audits technical issues. We want someone who understands how all the pieces connect and can move fluidly across the full SEO landscape to drive real, measurable results for clients. We are a team that embraces AI tools and expects this role to be an active participant in finding, learning, and implementing them.

Key ResponsibilitiesSEO Strategy & Client Ownership
Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for the Content team on work-related questions and blockers
Lead the weekly content team meeting
Attend the weekly VM all-team meeting




Monitor team workload and flag capacity concerns to Operations
Help ensure department processes and SOPs continue to be followed

Technical SEO
Conduct thorough audits and implement recommendations across site speed, crawlability, indexing, mobile friendliness, and architecture
Collaborate with the Web Development team to ensure technical best practices are properly implemented on all client sites
Set up and monitor Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, GA4, site audit tools, and uptime monitoring
Manage schema markup, internal linking, URL architecture, canonicalization, and tracking code placement

On-Page SEO & Content Strategy
Optimize on-page elements including meta tags, headers, content structure, and keyword targeting
Conduct ongoing keyword research, content gap analysis, and competitor analysis to inform content direction
Collaborate with the Content Team to ensure all written deliverables are optimized for search and aligned
