Job description:
The Data Operations Assistant supports the company’s bordereaux (BDX) data intake process, ensuring that incoming data from MGAs and TPAs is accurate, complete, and ready for downstream processing. This role is central to Everspan’s data quality discipline — catching errors early, maintaining documentation, and enabling the Operations team to move quickly and confidently.





There are two focus areas within this role: Premium and TPA (Claims/Losses). Each assistant specializes in one track, though both tracks share a common foundation of BDX quality control and pattern tracking.

Core Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities apply to both the Premium and TPA focus tracks. Track-specific duties are detailed in the section below.

BDX Layout Comparison
• Compare each incoming BDX file against the prior month’s layout
• Flag any fields that have been added, removed, renamed, reordered, or are missing
• Document changes and escalate to the Operations UW Analyst before the file moves forward

Mapping Documentation
• Maintain and update mapping documentation across similar business types
• Document column names, expected data types, and field-level definitions
• Ensure mapping tables remain current as MGA file formats evolve

Code Value Tables
• Monitor coverage code tables
