Job Description
We're looking for one person who can do two jobs well: keep the books clean and make the numbers mean something. You'll own day-to-day bookkeeping and month-end close across our own set of books and several portfolio/client companies — and then go a level deeper, turning those books into clear reporting, budgets, and forecasts that help us and our companies make better decisions. This is a hands-on, full-charge role for someone who's equal parts organized bookkeeper and sharp analyst.

Responsibilities
Bookkeeping (20%)
Own day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple entities: categorize transactions, manage the chart of accounts, and keep the general ledger clean and current.
Run month-end close — reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts, book accruals and adjusting entries, and close on a predictable schedule.
Manage accounts payable and receivable: process bills, run payments, send invoices, and stay on top of collections.
Keep documentation and records organized and audit-ready.
Coordinate with external CPAs/tax preparers at year-end and provide clean,



reconciled books.
Manage and integrate systems to speed close including Quickbooks, Ramp, Rho, and other financial management tools.

Reporting, budgeting & forecasting (80%)
Produce accurate monthly financials (P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow) for each entity.
Build and maintain KPI and management reporting so leadership can see what's happening at a glance.
Run variance analysis: on a monthly basis with budget to vigente variance, compare actuals to budget and prior periods, and explain the why behind the numbers, not just the what.
Turn financial data into clear, decision-ready summaries for founders and stakeholders. Build and maintain annual budgets and rolling cash flow forecasts.
Develop and update financial models to support planning, scenario analysis, and decisions.
Flag risks and opportunities early — cash crunches, margin shifts, spend trends — before they become problems.
