About the Role
A wellestablished General Agency in the TriState area is seeking an Underwriting Specialist to join its team in a fulltime, onsite capacity.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in Employee Benefits or a related field US Based.
English C1
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially
Responsibilities
Gather census, claims, and plan information from current clients.
Prepare accurate and detailed client presentations using Excel and other reporting platforms.
Organize and submit requests to insurance carriers.
Manage the RFP Request for Proposal process, including
Tracking carrier questions.
Coordinating carrier responses.
Ensuring compliance with deadlines.
Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carrier sales representatives.
Develop and maintain knowledge of
Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act PPACA.
Industry terminology, regulations, and best practices.
