We are looking for an experienced Account Manager with 7+ years of technology sales experience in the public sector to help us build the Public Sector customer engagement in SLG Colombia. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of overachieving quota while maintaining a customer-obsessed approach, fluency in Spanish and professional proficiency in English, and familiarity with cloud technologies or infrastructure services. They should be a self-starter prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets. The adecuado candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects, and will be an exceptionally strong and creative thinker who thrives in a team environment and embraces all aspects of selling - from pipeline generation and partner engagement to proposal management and deal closure.
Key job responsibilities
- Own revenue targets for SLG Colombia; develop and execute multi-year account strategies for key government entities
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships (CxO Level) across state and local government accounts.
- Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services tailored to public sector use cases (citizen services, open data, digital transformation, etc).
- Navigate public procurement processes (Colombia Compra Eficiente, SECOP II, acuerdos marco, contratación directa) and lead commercial negotiations.
- Build and activate a partner ecosystem specialized in public sector procurement and compliance.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver customer outcomes - influence without authority.
- Accelerate cloud adoption by identifying strategic workloads and positioning AWS as the long-term platform for government digital transformation

Basic Qualifications
- Experience with government procurement and contracting process
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Experience engaging and influencing C-level executives, both business and technical
- 5+ years of B2B/enterprise sales experience, with at least 3 years selling to government entities.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue quotas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
- Experience in the public sector
- Deep knowledge of the Colombian and Ecuadorian government ecosystem
- Technical background or familiarity with cloud computing, AI/ML, or enterprise IT solutions.
