About the Role:
VA WORKS connects exceptional remote professionals in Latin America with leading U.S. mortgage companies. We are currently seeking an experienced Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) to join our growing talent network and support top-performing Loan Officers throughout the mortgage process.

Responsibilities:
- Support Loan Officers throughout the mortgage loan process.
- Review loan documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Request and follow up on missing borrower documentation.
- Calculate borrower income and review financial documents.
- Track underwriting conditions and coordinate document collection.
- Communicate with borrowers, Loan Officers, Processors, Underwriters, Realtors, and other third parties.
- Update Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and CRM platforms.
- Maintain accurate loan records and pipeline status.




- Ensure an exceptional borrower experience through timely communication and proactive follow-up.

Required
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience in the U.S. mortgage industry.
- Strong understanding of mortgage loan products and underwriting guidelines.
- Experience reviewing income documentation and mortgage files.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.
- Professional English communication skills (written and verbal).
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
