Summary:
About the Position: Serves as Resident Engineer and is responsible for the overall management and supervision of all military and host nation construction programs within the assigned Resident Office and area of responsibility.

Duties:
- Observe construction projects at all stages to identify problems and take timely action to resolve problems encountered. Interpret contract specifications for area of field construction.
- Determine if construction meets contract requirements.
- Direct inspections of construction operations for compliance with intent of design and specifications.
- Recommend changes in design, specifications, and schedules to accommodate conditions as the construction site or to expedite construction efforts.
- Serve as first-line supervisor with responsibility for the technical and administrative supervision of the section, assisting the Design Management Section Chief.




- Review project plans and specifications for engineer and/or architectural projects.

- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
