Job Description

Manage certification projects from initial review through final approval.
Evaluate industrial electrical equipment, including:
Industrial control panels
Transformers
Control and automation equipment
Assess product compliance with applicable regulations and standards, including RETIE and RETILAP.
Review technical documentation, test reports, product specifications, and certification records.
Serve as a technical advisor to internal and external stakeholders.
Communicate project requirements, timelines, and results to clients.
Identify non-compliance issues and provide guidance regarding corrective actions.
Coordinate testing activities and collaborate with laboratory teams.
Prepare technical reports, certification documentation, and project deliverables.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to technical knowledge development.
Represent the organization in technical meetings, industry events, and customer discussions when required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.




Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in product certification, conformity assessment, testing, inspection, or regulatory compliance.
Direct experience evaluating electrical products under RETIE and/or RETILAP requirements.
Previous experience working within a Certification Body (Organismo de Certificación).
Experience as an Evaluator, Reviewer, or Technical Assessor for electrical products.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, including transformers, industrial control panels, and automation/control systems.
Ability to analyze technical documentation and interpret electrical safety requirements.
Strong project management and customer communication skills.
Professional proficiency in Spanish and English, including the ability to participate in technical discussions in English.
