Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Brokerage Representative to join our Freight Brokerage team. The adecuado candidate will have experience in Logistics, Carrier Sales, or Transportation and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, phone-driven environment. This role is responsible for supporting daily load coverage, communicating with carriers, negotiating rates, and resolving time-sensitive transportation challenges while maintaining excellent service and operational accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily carrier communications to support load coverage and transportation operations.
Make and receive frequent phone calls with carriers, maintaining a professional and solutions-oriented approach.
Source and communicate with carriers to secure capacity for available loads.
Negotiate freight rates and secure competitive pricing while supporting business objectives.
Clearly communicate company policies, requirements, and expectations to carriers.
Resolve time-sensitive carrier matching and coverage issues.




Handle escalations calmly and provide effective solutions to operational challenges.
Perform basic rate calculations and ensure accuracy when negotiating and confirming pricing.
Manage multiple calls, systems, and communication channels simultaneously.
Maintain accurate load and carrier information within the TMS.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient load coverage and shipment execution.
Build and maintain positive relationships with carriers.
Perform additional transportation and brokerage duties as assigned.

Requirements

1+ year of experience in Logistics, Transportation, Carrier Sales, Freight Brokerage, or a related field.
Education in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related field is preferred.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive rates and favorable agreements.
Comfortable making and receiving frequent phone calls.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
