Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary
The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting compliance with company policies and local tax regulations in Colombia.

Key Responsibilities
Process and post customer invoices and credit/debit notes accurately and on time.
Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding and overdue balances.
Perform cash application and ensure payments are accurately allocated to customer accounts.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Prepare and maintain accounts receivable aging reports.
Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices, payment status, and account discrepancies.
Coordinate with internal teams, including Sales, Finance, and Customer Service, to resolve billing and payment issues.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.




Maintain accurate customer master data and account records.
Assist with the preparation of AR reports and provide information required for audits.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable Colombian tax and accounting requirements.
Support the improvement and standardization of accounts receivable processes.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance Operations, or Accounting.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.

Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Colombian tax regulations, including VAT (IVA) and withholding taxes.
Experience working in multinational organizations or shared service center environments.
Experience with cash application, collections
