Capital Services is a Swiss money transfer company founded in Lausanne in 2003. We provide international money transfer and payment services through a network of banks, postal organizations, retailers, and financial partners operating across approximately 100 countries and territories.

Our engineering team develops and maintains the systems supporting our international remittance operations, while progressively modernizing legacy applications and services.

We are currently looking for a Junior Backend .NET Developer to join our engineering team as a full-time independent contractor.

The position is 100% remote and open to candidates located in Latin America.

What You Will Do

As a Junior Backend .NET Developer, you will work with the engineering team on both existing systems and new backend services.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining backend services and REST APIs using C# and .NET.
- Implementing new features and correcting existing functionality.
- Writing automated tests for new developments.




- Working with SQL Server, including queries, stored procedures, and data analysis.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation in English.
- Participating in code reviews and following the team's development standards.
- Supporting the migration of legacy applications toward a more modern architecture.
- Working with AI-assisted development tools as part of the development workflow.
- Collaborating with the technical lead and other developers on engineering tasks and projects.

Required Skills

We are looking for a junior developer with solid fundamentals and a willingness to learn.

You should have:
- 0–2 years of professional software development experience. Strong personal, academic, or open-source projects are also considered.
- Knowledge of C# and .NET.
- Basic experience developing Web APIs.
- Understanding of dependency injection and async/await.
