Position Overview:
The main purpose of the role is to lead cross functional improvement projects focussing on the services provided by the CBS and including new system implementations and continuous process improvement. Projects can be integral, complex cross-functional and can span geographies and different specialties (Finance, HR, Transition) and also be managed as programs. The role requires an ability to lead a complete project cycle including the analysis of business requirements, development of business cases, building of implementation and resource plans and leading of initiatives' execution and stabilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong technical knowledge of project management skills, techniques and processes
- Ability to use knowledge, data and experiences to evaluate solutions and provide recommendations
- Manage full project life cycle ownership: implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
- Works to achieve operational targets with a significant impact on departmental results. Works independently on large,
moderately complex projects/ assignments. May be responsible for setting day-to-day operational objectives for the team.
- May have responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organisation (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.) May be required to influence parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, practices and procedures.
- Responsible for making modifications to processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area. Problems and issues faced are difficult. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience, analysis of issues and guidance from more senior colleagues.
