Slate Brands builds and scales beauty and fragrance businesses across retail, e-commerce, and emerging channels. We are entrepreneurial, fast-moving, and focused on finding new opportunities and turning them into meaningful businesses.

The Role

We’re looking for someone who deeply understands fragrance and wants to help build a growing fragrance business under our trade and distribution division.

You should understand the full market — designer, niche, discount, inspired-by/dupe brands, emerging brands, pricing, and consumer trends.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Sourcing fragrance from brands, distributors, wholesalers, and other suppliers

• Identifying what products and brands we should be buying based on trends, pricing, demand, and margin

• Tracking what is happening across designer, niche, dupe/inspired-by, and emerging fragrance

• Building and managing supplier relationships and negotiating pricing and terms





• Researching import/shipping data and other sources to uncover suppliers and new business opportunities

• Helping develop new fragrance sales and distribution channels

• Managing purchasing, POs, inventory, costs, reorders, and vendor information in an organized way

• Identifying opportunistic buys and new ways to grow the fragrance business

• Working closely with our team and external partners to move opportunities forward quickly

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in fragrance buying, wholesale, distribution, retail, sourcing, or category management

• Strong knowledge of the fragrance market and major designer and niche brands

• Someone who actively follows fragrance trends and understands what consumers are buying

• Strong sourcing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

• Analytical and comfortable working with pricing, margins, inventory, and spreadsheets

• Highly organized, resourceful, and able to work independently

• Entrepreneurial
