Job Description
This position will be responsible for the support, maintenance and performance of the server hardware, operating systems and related software. Additionally, this role maintains standards around the server platform, monitoring services, and server management infrastructure. In this role, you also will be responsible for the implementation and support of the server technology roadmap.
This position provides quality solutions, automation of the processes and ongoing operational support utilizing leading industry practices, procedures, and ITIL processes.
Principal Accountabilities
General
- Collaborating with other global IT operational support groups, both locally and globally
- Maintaining awareness and commitment to employment and legislative responsibilities in relation to workplace safety, discrimination, HR policies, quality and the environment
Specific
- Maintaining and developing standards, processes, policies and lifecycles as defined in O-I’s Server Management Program, aligning with industry leading practice
- Deployment and configuration management of the general server environment and associated infrastructure
- Supporting the implementation of the roadmap for O-I’s server technologies (in conjunction with IT Architecture team)
