The Chemical Engineer for Voyager Technologies is responsible for supporting the establishment of a new chemical manufacturing facility by specifying, procuring, designing, building, testing, and commissioning chemical process equipment.
The position reports to the Chief Engineer and is part of the Chemicals and Explosives Team. This is an on‑site role based in Penrose, CO, with a shift to Pueblo, CO, expected within the next year.
In this role, the essential functions are:
- Translating lab data into process requirements and equipment specifications
- Procuring existing industrial equipment where it meets cost, schedule, and performance requirements
- Developing and building first‑principles solutions alongside the technician team, where existing equipment does not meet the above requirements
- Testing, refining, and commissioning equipment to bring systems into operation
