Veta Virtual is hiring an Accounting Manager for one of our clients in the Roofing and Construction industry, including work on some federally funded projects. This role is idóneo for someone who combines strong technical accounting expertise with the leadership and judgment to own outcomes, not just execute tasks, in a fast-moving construction business.

? Your Role

As an Accounting Manager, you'll take ownership of the company's accounting operations across residential, commercial, and federally funded roofing and construction projects. You'll drive the close process, strengthen controls, and deliver the financial insight that helps leadership make sound decisions. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll own job costing, guide tooling decisions, and shape how accounting runs in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include





Owning the full accounting cycle for the company's roofing and construction operations, including reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, and financial reporting delivered directly to leadership.
Overseeing job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) schedules across multiple active jobs, reviewing for accuracy and surfacing profitability trends that inform leadership decisions.
Owning percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and progress billing across residential, commercial, and federal projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Acting as a key financial decision-maker in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, balancing speed with accuracy and compliance.
Leading the integration and optimization of external applications with QuickBooks Online to streamline accounting operations.
Overseeing accounts payable/receivable, expense management, subcontractor payments, and vendor/client interactions, and resolving discrepancies before the
