Purpose Contributes to the overall success of the GWO Confirmations - Securities Settlements team globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountability
- Ensure the timely, accurate execution of the full settlement lifecycle across markets.
- Ensures timely confirmation of trades by tracking unmatched transactions across the unit & proactively analyzing/addressing root causes.
- Provides insight and support to management during planning, organizing and successful implementation of projects affecting the unit’s operations.
- Proactively supports management efforts to monitor group activity to ensure internal control procedures remain effective, are understood and adhered to.
- Supports management efforts to motivate staff, increase individual performance, execute a robust training schedule and assign workstation responsibilities fairly.
- Ensure a high degree of operational efficiency, processing accuracy, and conformity to Bank regulation
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Integral Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
