As a Machine Learning Engineer at Rappi, you will design, build, and deploy machine learning models that power core features across our SuperApp. You will work closely with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to translate business needs into scalable algorithms and data pipelines. Daily responsibilities include collecting and preprocessing data, training and evaluating models, optimizing performance, and integrating ML solutions into production systems. You will also monitor deployed models, improve them based on real-world feedback, and document your work to ensure maintainability and collaboration. This is a full-time, remote role, offering the flexibility to work from any location while contributing to high-impact projects across Latin America.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Algorithms, with experience building scalable, production-grade systems.
- Hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).




- Solid understanding of Statistics and probabilistic modeling, with the ability to design robust experiments and evaluate model performance.
- Experience in end-to-end machine learning workflows: data collection, feature engineering, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in ML (such as Python or Java) and familiarity with distributed computing or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams, with clear communication and strong problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with recommendation systems, demand forecasting, logistics optimization, or other large-scale marketplace problems is a plus.
