Frontline Deployed Engineers (FDEs) are the frontline of engineering at our client — the people responsible for making the platform actually work for every customer. You will own customer accounts end-to-end, from onboarding and configuring AI agents to debugging live production conversations and delivering same-day resolutions when issues arise.

This is a hybrid engineering and customer-facing role. One hour you may be reviewing LangSmith traces to understand why an agent offered Saturday appointments the customer does not service; the next, you may be on a call with an operations manager from a remodeling company explaining how lead routing will work for a newly launched branch.

What You’ll DoCustomer Onboarding & Deployment
- Manage customer onboarding from start to finish
- Provision phone numbers and communication systems using Twilio and LiveKit
- Configure CRM integrations and scheduling rules
- Build and customize agent messaging and workflows
- Run evaluation suites and launch production-ready customer accounts

Production Troubleshooting & Debugging




- Investigate production conversation failures using SQL, structured logs, and LLM traces
- Analyze Better Stack, Logfire, and LangSmith data to identify root causes
- Diagnose whether issues stem from prompts, integrations, configurations, data, or application code
- Deliver fast and reliable resolutions for live customer issues

AI Agent Configuration & Prompt Engineering
- Write and refine system prompts for SMS and voice scheduling agents
- Add guardrails and behavioral constraints to improve agent reliability
- Iterate on evaluation results until agent behavior meets quality standards
- Modify multi-node agent workflows including tools, messaging, and LLM configurations

CRM & Workflow Integrations
- Configure job-type mappings and business-unit routing
- Set up lead distribution and customer partitioning logic
- Maintain synchronization rules and operational workflows
