Technical Sales Support Specialist

The LYCRA Company, widely known for producing LYCRA® fiber, is looking for someone to join our Technical and Sales Support Team. This role will be based in Central America or Colombia. This team is tasked with supporting our upstream apparel customers (knitting and weaving mills) and our downstream customers (leading brands and retailers) with new product innovations and technical product support.



This role is also expected to play a central role in the identification of unmet customer needs and market trends, and to translate those into new products in the apparel market space.

To be successful in this challenging multi-functional role, an individual must possess a combination of skills in the focus areas of textile technology, economic thinking, and the ability to build and maintain relationships in the apparel value chain. We are looking for someone who is a strong team player, demonstrates initiative, is a creative problem solver, and understands the essential requirement to conduct all affairs in a lawful and compliant manner.

Duties of the Role
- Build and maintain a strong technical knowledge of textile fiber technology and the processing of knitted and woven fabrics (fabric making, dye and finishing, and quality testing) that contain elastane, polyester, nylon 6/66, cotton, and combinations thereof.
