Business Development Specialist – Logistics & Transportation

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven
Business Development Specialist
to support the growth of our transportation marketplace through lead generation and outbound prospecting. This role is responsible for identifying potential customers, conducting outbound outreach, generating qualified opportunities, and building strong relationships with trucking companies, owner-operators, trailer companies, and other transportation businesses.

The idóneo candidate has experience in the logistics or transportation industry and understands carrier operations, freight brokerage, or supply chain processes. They thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and are comfortable engaging prospects through cold calling, email campaigns, and other outreach methods.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with a high level of autonomy, independently managing outbound prospecting activities and lead generation efforts.
- Conduct high-volume outreach to trucking companies, owner-operators, trailer companies,



and transportation businesses through phone calls, email, and other prospecting channels.
- Generate qualified sales opportunities and schedule meetings for the closing team.
- Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with prospective customers within the transportation industry.
- Identify customer needs and effectively communicate the company's value proposition.
- Utilize persuasive communication and problem-solving skills to overcome objections and maintain prospect engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, activities, and pipeline updates within CRM systems.
- Collaborate closely with sales, customer service, and operations teams to ensure smooth handoff of qualified opportunities.
