About the Role

We're looking for a Java Software Engineer to join our Engineering team and help build highly scalable backend systems that power business-critical applications.

In this role, you'll design, develop, and maintain distributed backend services using modern Java while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams. You'll solve complex technical challenges, optimize application and database performance, and contribute to building reliable, resilient systems that support high-volume production workloads.

What You'll Do

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using modern Java.
- Build RESTful APIs and microservices that support high-volume production workloads.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following software engineering best practices.
- Design performant, fault-tolerant, and resilient backend solutions.
- Optimize SQL queries and improve database performance.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
- Design systems that safely handle concurrency, distributed transactions, and high traffic.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

What We're Looking For





- 5+ years of professional Java backend development experience, with strong proficiency in Java 17+ and core Java fundamentals, including OOP, collections, exception handling, and resource management.
- Strong understanding of concurrency and distributed systems, including multithreading, synchronization, thread safety, deadlocks, race conditions, and designing reliable, scalable backend services.
- Advanced SQL and database experience, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries, understand joins, aggregations, window functions, and work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Solid problem-solving skills, including algorithms, data structures, performance optimization, debugging, and identifying production issues in large-scale systems.
- Experience building REST APIs using modern development practices, including Git, code reviews, testing, and designing maintainable, high-performance backend applications.

Nice to Have

- Experience working in financial or banking industries.
- Knowledge of AI tools for development.
