- Leads Logistics, Warehousing, Import/Export and Inventory Control, setting strategy for these groups that meets performance goals and customers’ expectations
- Motivate team members identifying strengths and development areas, providing tools and information to promote their career development
- Oversees Logistics of the region under his/her responsibility, managing the flow of goods between the point of origin and the point of consumption in the most efficient and cost-effective manner to meet customers’ requirements
- Evaluate and implement key performance indicators (KPI) to ensure compliance with quality and service level standards defined - Improve planning processes by developing S&OP; and demand planning (forecasting) processes
- Third-party logistics management and coordination, to ensure meets the required service level
- Keep control over inventory costs to meet Organization objectives, controlling leadtimes,
turnovers, backorders
- Help to implement policies and internal processes in the warehouse to simplify inbound and outbound flows, improving lead-times and reducing costs - Negotiate with general suppliers and services providers minimum service levels and costs, establishing assessment metrics and corrective measures when necessary
- Promote and facilitate initiatives and activities that increase cooperation with internal customers and external partners
- Assess logistics best practice policies, promoting those activities that add value to the Organization and identifying new opportunities
- Identify and implement new projects to increase process efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resources - Manage and control Logistics budget, ensuring its compliance
