Role Description This full-time Asistente contable role at VALTO is a hybrid position based in Bogotá, D.C., combining on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. The Asistente contable will help prepare and review invoices, reconcile bank statements, and support month-end and year-end closing processes. Responsibilities also include organizing documentation for audits, updating accounting records in the system, generating basic financial reports, and collaborating with the finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance with local regulations. The role requires consistent communication with internal stakeholders to clarify financial data, resolve discrepancies, and support broader administrative and financial tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting principles, financial record-keeping, and reconciliation processes.




Experience using accounting or ERP software, spreadsheets, and other digital tools for data entry and reporting.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy in handling numerical data, and ability to identify and correct inconsistencies.
Effective organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and preparing documentation.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment (office and remote).
Understanding of Colombian accounting standards and basic tax regulations is an advantage.
Technical degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; relevant practical experience considered.
