Background
WWF Belgium is seeking an independent evaluator or evaluation team to conduct the
end-term evaluation
of its €13 million programme**"Maximizing the Well-being of Vulnerable Populations through Ecosystem Resilience" (2022-2026)**, funded by the Belgian Directorate-General for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid (DGD). The programme is implemented in Cambodia, Ecuador, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Belgium.
The programme aims to improve the well-being and resilience of vulnerable populations through the protection of tropical forest ecosystems,
inclusive conservation approaches, sustainable livelihoods, and actions addressing imported deforestation.
Purpose of the Evaluation
The Evaluation Will
- Assess the programme's achievements and results over the 2022-2026 period;
- Examine effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability;
- Assess the implementation of the management response developed following the mid-term evaluation;
- Identify lessons learned, good practices, and recommendations for future WWF programming;
- Contribute to accountability towards DGD and WWF stakeholders.
The evaluation will cover all original programme components, including the Mai-Ndombe project in DRC, which ended early in 2023.
