Position Summary

Polaris Advisors Colombia operates as a shared services center supporting financial accounting, tax compliance, and reporting functions for Polaris Advisors LLC and its affiliated entities.

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst with strong technical grounding in international financial accounting and Colombian tax law to own the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial information across local and consolidated reporting. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role requiring direct, daily coordination with the U.S. parent company's finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Prepare, review, and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS / IFRS for SMEs, ensuring full alignment with group accounting policies.
- Own the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, driving a rigorous monthly close cycle with no unresolved variances.
- Reconcile local invoice and expense records against U.S.



parent company data (including corporate credit card expenses), identifying and resolving discrepancies before they reach the P&L.;
- Perform multi-currency accounting reconciliations (COP/USD) and ensure accurate foreign exchange gain/loss recognition.
- Deliver management reporting packages with clear variance analysis and root-cause commentary for stakeholders in both Colombia and the U.S.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare and file Colombian tax obligations, including income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and ICA, in full compliance with DIAN regulations.
- Support transfer pricing documentation, benchmarking analysis, and defense of intercompany mark-up positions.
- Maintain payroll-related regulatory compliance, including Electronic Payroll (DSNE), PILA, and related filings, in coordination with external payroll providers.
- Prepare and submit DIAN and municipal Exógena reporting (medios magnéticos) accurately and within statutory deadlines
