Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced
Senior Power BI Dataset & Report Developer
to strengthen our international analytics landscape. This freelance role will be based
in Colombia
and will operate across a integral project environment involving South America, Spain, and Germany.

You will collaborate closely with teams in Spain and play a key role in developing a
scalable, high-performance Power BI presentation layer
built on top of Databricks-based data products.

This position combines deep expertise in
Power BI dataset development, semantic modeling, and performance optimization
, along with the ability to work effectively across distributed and multicultural teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement
high-performance, multidimensional Power BI datasets
using Star and Galaxy schema principles
- Optimize
DirectQuery scenarios
with Databricks SQL Warehouses
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in
DAX formulas and M queries
- Develop and maintain
CI/CD processes
using Git and deployment automation
- Enhance




automated testing frameworks using Python
to ensure data integrity and reporting quality
- Act as a bridge between
Databricks-based data platforms
and the Power BI presentation layer
- Collaborate with international stakeholders across
Spain and Germany
, in coordination with the Spanish team

Technical Requirements
- 4+ years of experience delivering
enterprise-level Power BI solutions
in big data environments
- Expert knowledge of
DAX (advanced logic and performance tuning), M Query, and TMDL
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Tabular Editor (2/3)
- DAX Studio (Trace, VertiPaq Analyzer)
- ALM Toolkit
- Solid understanding of
Databricks SQL Warehouses
and cloud data integration
- Experience with
Python for automated testing
and CI/CD integration (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git)
- Strong focus on
performance-by-design principles
for scalable data models

Soft Skills
- Excellent
communication and stakeholder management
skills in intern
