The Payroll Operations Assistant (Junior) supports the day‑to‑day execution of payroll operations for U.S.-based clients. This is an entry‑level role designed for candidates with foundational exposure to U.S. payroll who are eager to grow their skills in a structured, process‑driven environment. The role focuses on accuracy, documentation, and timely follow‑up under close guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing Support

- Assist in the execution of U.S. payroll cycles for assigned clients.
- Support the preparation of termination checks following U.S. payroll guidelines.
- Help process off‑cycle payments and basic payroll adjustments.
- Update employee payroll data (pay rates, deductions, basic changes) under supervision.

Timekeeping & Attendance

- Review employee timecards daily to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Send follow‑up emails to managers regarding missing or pending approvals.
- Perform basic audits of timekeeping data and flag discrepancies.
- Assist with PTO request reviews according to U.S. client policies.

Reporting & Documentation

- Run standard payroll and timekeeping reports.




- Document payroll updates and employee changes in internal systems.
- Track assigned tasks and updates using ClickUp or similar tools.

Compliance & Quality

- Follow U.S. payroll processes and client-specific requirements.
- Escalate inconsistencies or unusual data patterns to senior team members.
- Maintain organized, audit‑ready documentation.

Must‑Have Requirements

- English level C1 (Advanced) – mandatory
- Hands‑on experience or direct exposure to U.S. Payroll – mandatory

Preferred Qualifications

- 0–2 years of experience in payroll support, HR operations, or administrative roles.
- High attention to detail and comfort handling confidential information.
- Basic knowledge of U.S. payroll concepts (pay cycles, timekeeping, PTO).
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and payroll systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage repetitive, time‑sensitive tasks.
- Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and receive feedback.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
