The Job
As a Ruby on Rails Developer, your main goal is to build scalable, reliable, and high-performing backend systems on Rails, using AI as a core part of how you work. The foundation is solid engineering: you bring strong Ruby and Rails fundamentals, systems thinking,



and problem-solving instincts to deliver maintainable and efficient solutions — and you take full ownership of the code you ship, whether you wrote it line by line or generated it with an AI agent.

What You'll Do
- Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in Ruby on Rails
- Design clean, maintainable, and reliable Rails application architectures (MVC, service objects, background jobs)
- Integrate REST APIs and third-party services within Rails applications
- Collaborate proactively with PMs, designers, developers, and QAs in multi-disciplinary projects, raising blockers, risks, and ideas early rather than waiting to be asked
- Review, refactor, and maintain clean codebases — both human-written and AI-generated — with close attention to detail, catching subtle bugs and edge cases before they reach production
- Take full responsibility for the correctness, security, and quality of your code, regardless of whether it was written manually or with the help of AI cod
