Job Summary
The Network Engineer Lead leads day-to-day network engineering operations for the Mosaic Infrastructure Managed Services engagement, overseeing a team responsible for routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless across roughly 60 sites in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Peru, and Paraguay. This role combines hands-on senior engineering work with team leadership, ensuring the network environment is stable, secure, and performing to SLA, while mentoring Senior and Junior Network Engineers and coordinating closely with the Network Architect on design and standards.
Responsibilities
• Lead the day-to-day work of the network engineering team, assigning and prioritizing tickets, changes, and projects across Network Engineer Sr. and Jr. staff.
• Provide hands-on senior-level engineering support for complex routing, switching, and firewall issues that require escalation beyond Tier 2/3.
• Own network change management for the account, including planning, risk assessment, peer review, and execution of scheduled changes in line with ITIL change management practices.
• Partner with the Network Architect to implement network designs, standards, and lifecycle/refresh plans across the multi-country site footprint.
• Oversee firewall administration and security policy management across the environment's firewall estate, ensuring configurations follow security best practices.
• Coordinate wireless network support and troubleshooting, working with Senior Network Engineers who carry explicit wireless expertise (Cisco and Cambium environments).
• Support voice/network integration activities, including coordination with the Voice Engineer team on CUCM decommission and related transition work.
• Monitor network capacity and performance trends, recommending headroom or upgrade actions in coordination with the Consolidated Volume & Headroom model.
