Job Summary
As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will play a critical role in maintaining, optimizing, and securing Auxis’ client databases. Your responsibilities will encompass database design, implementation, monitoring, performance tuning, security management, and data integrity assurance. Your expertise will contribute to the efficient operation of data-driven applications and ensure the availability and reliability of crucial business information.
Responsibilities
· Administer databases regarding efficiency, security, and system integrity.
· Monitor the system's health and performance.
· Ensure high levels of performance and availability.
· Ensure that all database backup schedules are implemented and monitored for issues.
· Test database recovery procedures periodically.
· Optimize query performance through TSQL improvements, indexes, partitioning, and other techniques.
· Optimize use of operational resources.
· Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
· Manage complex technical problems.
· Oversee the compliance of Auxis operating processes.
· Maintain technical expertise in MS SQL technologies.
· Maintain awareness of current and future technologies and best practices relevant to operations.
· Act in a mentoring capacity to other team members.
· Make recommendations on performance improvement and automation opportunities to improve operations.
Skills and Experience
EXPERIENCE:
· 6+ years’ experience in large-scale MS SQL Server environments, supporting several clients.
· Desirable: 2 years’ experience with Azure SQL Database and/or AWS RDS and/or MS Dataverse.
· Experienced in Clustering Services, High Availability, and Always On configurations.
· Proven experience with cloud-based services and shared operations in heterogeneous environments.
· Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation.
EDUCATION:
· Computer Science, Engineering, IT bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
· Azure Data Engineer Associate.
