About the Opportunity
I'm a U.S. business owner looking for one smart, motivated person in Colombia to start working directly with me part-time.
This isn't a typical assistant position.
I'm looking for someone who can start by helping me stay organized, follow up on things, help with customers, research, marketing and everyday business tasks — but who wants the opportunity to grow into something much bigger.
Think of it less as joining a company after everything has already been figured out and more as getting in early and helping me build it.
I'm not starting from just an idea.
I own Layton's Garage, a South Florida automotive repair business that's been around since 1952, and Graveyard Classics, where we work with classic cars, restorations, restomods and other automotive projects.
I'm now building a software company based on problems I've experienced firsthand as a business owner.
We're starting small, proving it with real customers and building from there.
If it works the way I believe it can, I'll need good people around me as we grow.
I'd rather find one of those people now.
What You'll Help Me With
At the beginning, the work will be a mix of things:
- Helping keep me organized and on track
- Following up on things that need to get done
- Research and everyday business tasks
- Helping new software customers get set up
- Customer follow-up and support
- Organizing customer and prospect information
- Helping with sales and marketing
- SEO research and improvement
- Content and social media
- Using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude
- Researching potential customers and opportunities
- Helping with Layton's Garage and Graveyard Classics when needed
- Learning new things as the businesses grow
Some days you'll know exactly what needs to be done.
