Role Description The Medical Biller (Ophthalmology) is a full-time remote role responsible for managing the billing lifecycle for ophthalmology services, from charge entry to payment posting. Daily tasks include verifying patient insurance coverage, preparing and submitting accurate claims to payers,



following up on outstanding accounts, and resolving denials and underpayments. The Medical Biller will review documentation to ensure proper use of ICD-10 codes, maintain compliance with payer and Medicare guidelines, and work closely with providers and internal teams to clarify billing questions. The role also involves generating and reviewing billing reports, identifying trends that impact revenue, and recommending process improvements to support efficient, compliant, and timely reimbursement.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology relevant to ophthalmology and general medical billing.
Proficiency with ICD-10 coding and accurate claim preparation for ophthalmology procedures and diagnoses.
Experience working with Insurance payers and Medicare, including guidelines, coverage rules, and reimbursement processes.
Demonstrated ability to handle Denials, including analysis,
