We're a Florida medical practice that treats auto-accident patients. That means our money doesn't come from routine insurance — it comes from Florida no-fault (PIP) claims, Letters of Protection, attorney liens, and settlements. Those dollars are earned at the point of care and collected months later, and only if someone works the file relentlessly.

That's this job. You'll own a portfolio of personal injury accounts start to finish: submitting clean claims, tracking PIP benefits and exhaustion, chasing adjusters and law firms, appealing denials, preparing pre-suit demand letters, negotiating reductions, and posting payments when they land.

You'll be on the phone with American adjusters, paralegals, attorneys, and patients every single day, so confident professional English is non-negotiable.

What you'll do
- Post charges and submit clean claims; verify CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS and modifiers before release
- Verify PIP benefits: limits, deductible, exhaustion, EMC status, and the 14-day treatment window




- Track the insurer's 30-day payment clock and pursue overdue claims with interest and penalties
- Prepare pre-suit demand letters under Fla. Stat. § 627.736(10) with complete supporting documentation
- Obtain and track Letters of Protection; maintain a live attorney/case matrix and chase law-firm balances
- Build reduction and settlement packages; negotiate within approved thresholds
- Work AR aging buckets daily (0–30 / 31–60 / 61–90 / 90+) with a documented next action on every account
- Post EOBs/ERAs, root-cause denials, and file appeals before the deadline — every time
- Process attorney and carrier record requests; maintain strict HIPAA compliance
- Report weekly on AR aging, collections, and denial trends

What you need
- 2+ years in medical billing and collections, including 1+ year on personal injury, PIP/no-fault, or workers' comp
- Fully bilingual English/Spanish — C1 or higher, spoken and written. This is a hard requirement.
