We are currently looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer based in Colombia to join one of our high-impact client engagements.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in test automation using Playwright and TypeScript, and exposure to C# / .NET environments.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about building scalable automation frameworks, improving software quality, and collaborating closely with engineering teams in modern development environments.

Important:

The client may have some historical or adjacent automation context involving .NET / C#, but the primary evaluation and day-to-day expectations for this role will focus on TypeScript + Playwright. Candidates should be comfortable participating in a senior-level live coding assessment in TypeScript using Playwright during the interview process.

What You’ll Do

- Design, build, and maintain robust end-to-end automated test frameworks using Playwright + TypeScript
- Create scalable, maintainable, and reusable test scripts for web applications
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members to define test strategies and quality standards
- Validate functional, regression, integration, and UI testing scenarios
- Identify, document, and track defects while supporting root cause analysis
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into release workflows
- Help drive best practices in test automation architecture, code quality, and test reliability
- Participate in code reviews and provide guidance on automation strategy and testing coverage
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across QA processes and tooling

What We’re Looking For





Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with strong focus on test automation
- Proven experience building and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright
- Strong hands-on coding experience with TypeScript
- Experience automating web applications in modern frontend environments
- Familiarity with C# / .NET-based applications or engineering environments
- Solid understanding of:
- Test strategy and test case design
- UI / functional / regression / integration testing
- API validation and basic backend testing concepts
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation into delivery processes
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a senior-level engineering environment
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)

Preferred / Nice to Have

- Hands-on experience writing automation or utility scripts in C#
- Experience working directly in .NET-based test frameworks
- Experience with other automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent
- Familiarity with cloud environments and modern engineering ecosystems
- Experience in highly regulated or enterprise-scale applications

Interview Process Note As part of the interview process, candidates should be prepared for a senior-level live coding exercise focused on:

- TypeScript
- Playwright
- Writing clean, maintainable, and scalable automation code
- Problem-solving in a real-time technical scenario
