About the Role We are looking for a detail oriented and disciplined Sales Tax & Bookkeeping Associate based in Colombia to join a U.S.-based accounting firm serving e-commerce clients.

This role will focus primarily on U.S. sales tax compliance, with a secondary focus on bookkeeping and accounting support.

You will work closely with a Senior Associate based in Miami, who will provide training, guidance, and review of your work.

This is a non client facing role,



with your primary stakeholders being the internal accounting team and, when necessary, U.S. state tax authorities.

- The workload may shift over time depending on business needs, projects, and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities U.S. Sales Tax
- Monitor and manage U.S. sales tax filing obligations for e-commerce clients across multiple states.
- Track sales tax nexus and filing requirements by state.
- Prepare, review, reconcile, and verify sales tax returns before submission.
- Work with sales tax platforms such as TaxJar, Avalara, or similar tools.
- Reconcile reported sales tax against underlying transaction data.
- Ensure returns are prepared and submitted accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with the Senior Associate to prioritize monthly filings, particularly during the high-volume period between the 1st and 20th of each month.
