Mroads is looking for an "Android Developer" for one of our direct clients in Bogota, Colombia.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days in office a week.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the end-to-end architecture and development of Android applications using Kotlin

· Define and enforce mobile architecture standards (MVVM, Clean Architecture, modularization, design patterns)

· Drive migration and development of UI using Jetpack Compose

· Design and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs with secure, scalable mobile solutions

· Collaborate with product, UX, backend, and DevOps teams to deliver enterprise-grade mobile apps

· Review code, ensure best practices, and maintain high standards for performance, security, and scalability

· Mentor developers, conduct technical interviews, and contribute to engineering excellence

· Establish CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and release best practices

· Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and Android platform updates

Required Skills & Experience





· 55+ years of mobile development experience, with strong focus on Android

· Expert-level Kotlin development

· Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android UI practices

· Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Coroutines, Flow, and modern app architecture

· Solid experience integrating RESTful and GraphQL services

· Deep understanding of mobile system design, performance optimization, and security

· Experience in technical leadership or architecture roles

· Strong experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and Play Store deployments

Good to Have

· Experience with large-scale or enterprise mobile platforms

· Knowledge of mobile DevOps, Firebase, and analytics tools

· Exposure to cloud-backed mobile ecosystems (AWS, GCP, Azure)

· Experience modernizing or migrating legacy Android apps to Compose
