Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to support a growing California personal injury litigation practice. This is not an entry-level position. The successful candidate should have hands-on litigation experience and be comfortable supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process, including preparing lawsuits, drafting litigation documents, preparing Case Management Conference (CMC) Statements, managing discovery, calendaring litigation deadlines, and maintaining organized electronic case files. The adecuado candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating closely with attorneys in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys throughout the personal injury litigation process.
- Prepare lawsuits and litigation documents under attorney supervision.
- Prepare and coordinate court filings.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
- Prepare Case Management Conference (CMC) Statements and related court filings.
- Propound and respond to written discovery under attorney supervision.
- Track discovery requests and responses.
- Calendar discovery deadlines, hearings, filing deadlines, CMCs, and other litigation events.
- Maintain accurate litigation calendars and ensure deadlines are not missed.
- Assist attorneys with document preparation and case organization.
- Conduct legal and case-related research as requested.
- Maintain complete and organized electronic litigation files.
- Coordinate with attorneys and the PI case management team regarding case status and upcoming deadlines.
- Review filings for accuracy and completeness before submission.
- Monitor rejected or deficient filings and promptly correct issues.
