IT Data Visualization & Automation Engineer

Power BI | Power Automate | Grafana | Python
Remote, Supporting U.S. Clients

AMS DATASERFS is a boutique managed services provider with deep experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure and enabling complex hardware and silicon engineering organizations within cutting-edge technology companies. For nearly 20 years, AMS DataSerfs has tackled difficult infrastructure and operational challenges for partners building some of the world's most advanced technologies.

We are seeking a talented and motivated IT Data Visualization & Automation Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical skills with an ability to transform complex IT data into clear, actionable information.

The successful candidate will have hands-on expertise with Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, Grafana, and Python, along with experience integrating data from enterprise IT systems, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, monitoring tools, and operational data sources.

You will work with an experienced global team supporting a Fortune 50 technology partner. Your primary responsibility will be developing the dashboards, data models, reporting solutions, automation workflows, and operational analytics that allow engineering and IT teams to better understand the health, performance, utilization, capacity, security, and efficiency of complex enterprise infrastructure.

This is not simply a report-development position. We are looking for someone who can understand the underlying infrastructure and operational questions, identify and integrate the right data sources, design effective data models, automate data movement and business processes, and build visualizations that help technical teams and leadership make better decisions.

You will work closely with U.S.-based stakeholders, requiring strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and time zones.

- Consume REST APIs and other programmatic interfaces to retrieve data from enterprise platforms.
- Use Python for data cleansing, transformation, validation, analysis, API integration, and automation.
- Implement role-based access controls and data security for dashboards, datasets, and automation workflows.
- Troubleshoot data-quality, refresh, connectivity, query-performance, gateway, and visualization issues.
- Monitor and optimize dashboard and dataset performance.
- Maintain documentation covering data sources, schemas, calculations, dashboard definitions, workflows, and operational procedures.
- Support dashboard lifecycle management, version control, testing, deployment, and change management.
- Work directly with engineers, IT administrators, service owners, managers, and executives to understand reporting and automation requirements.
- Identify opportunities where data visualization, scripting, and workflow automation can reduce manual effort and improve operational decision-making.
