Position: Accounting and Payroll & Statutory Benefits Specialist

Key Qualifications & Expertise
• Local Certification: Active Contador Público license with an active Tarjeta Competente
issued by the Junta Central de Contadores (JCC) in Colombia.
• Bilingual Proficiency: Professional fluency in English and Spanish to liaise with the US
headquarters, regional operations, and DIAN (Colombia's tax authority).
• Software Competency: Experience with global platforms (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or Xero).

Primary Responsibilities
• Government Compliance & Tax Regulations
• DIAN Reporting: Filing national taxes (IVA, Impuesto a la Renta, Retención en la Fuente) and local municipal taxes (ICA).
• Electronic Invoicing & Payroll: Managing Facturación Electrónica and Nómina Electrónica mandates required by DIAN.
• Corporate Registration Support: Supporting legal counsel during entity incorporation, Chamber of Commerce (Cámara de Comercio) filings, and obtaining/updating the company's RUT (Registro Único Tributario).
• Payroll & Labor Compliance




• Social Security (PILAS): Managing monthly PILAS contributions (health, pension, ARL, and family compensation funds/CCF).
• Statutory Benefits: Calculating local statutory employee benefits, including Cesantías, Intereses sobre Cesantías, Prima de Servicios, and paid leave.
• Global Contracts: Handling local employment contracts (Contrato a TérminoIndefinido/Fijo) vs. independent contractor agreements if starting via EOR/freelancebefore full registration.
• Billing, Invoicing & Cross-Border Accounting
Invoicing: Managing intercompany billing and cross-border invoicing between Valoroo US and
Valoroo Colombia.
Accounts Receivable & Collections: Tracking billing schedules, issuing compliant invoices, and
managing client follow-ups.
Transfer Pricing & Statutory Books: Ensuring proper documentation for intercompany
transactions and maintaining local statutory ledgers alongside US GAAP reporting.
