Role Description The People & Finance Operations Manager is a remote, contract-based role for someone able to work hours that correlate to Eastern Standard Time.

HR administration and payroll
Maintain and manage employee records in Mineral, and set up and track time off and PTO.
Process payroll each cycle, review for accuracy, and submit for final approval.
Review and approve Deel payments for contractors and international staff.
Support annual insurance renewals and coordinate insurance audits.





Bookkeeping and office operations
Pay incoming bills and record and categorise transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Keep documents, records and recurring deadlines organised and moving.

Recruiting and onboarding
Write and post job ads, and screen and review incoming applications.
Coordinate and conduct candidate phone screens, and run employment and reference checks.
Prepare and send offer letters, and manage onboarding from acceptance through the first weeks.

Qualifications
5+ years in HR administration, office management, bookkeeping, or a similar operations role.
Hands-on QuickBooks experience, Online or Desktop, recording and categorising transactions.
You have run a blended administrative desk before, without close supervision.
Comfortable learning new software platforms quickly, including Deel and Mineral.
Strong attention to detail; this role handles payroll, insurance, and financial data where accuracy
