About Shiftbalance

Shiftbalance is a integral people, culture and leadership consultancy working with UN agencies, INGOs and private-sector clients on leadership development, psychological safety, ethics and integrity, facilitation, organizational culture, e-learning, coaching and inclusive workplaces.

Our small, international and fully remote team delivers projects across multiple countries and languages, partnering with organizations including UNICEF, UNDP and DRC on training, facilitation, organizational development and capacity-building initiatives.

The Role

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive and bilingual Project & Business Development Officer to support Shiftbalance's growing work in Latin America.

The role combines three areas:

- Business development and proposal support
- Project management and delivery
- Learning & Development content and operations

This role would suit an early-career professional with some relevant experience who is eager to take responsibility, work independently and grow with a small international consultancy. The successful candidate will help us identify and develop new opportunities in Latin America while also supporting the coordination and delivery of selected client projects.

For a strong performer, there is potential for this position to develop into a longer-term regional role as Shiftbalance expands its work in Latin America in 2027.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Proposal Support

- Research prospective clients and decision-makers across UN agencies, INGOs, international organizations and private companies in Latin America .
- Conduct targeted outreach and disciplined follow-up with prospective clients.
- Research contacts using LinkedIn and other approved business-development tools.
- Monitor procurement and tender platforms, including UNGM, ReliefWeb and other relevant portals , for opportunities in Spanish and English.
- Conduct an initial assessment of relevant RFPs and tenders.
- Support proposal preparation, including background research, compliance requirements, administrative documentation, proofreading and formatting.
- Maintain accurate prospect, outreach,



follow-up and opportunity information in Shiftbalance's CRM or shared commercial trackers.
- Help identify opportunities to introduce Shiftbalance's leadership, culture, ethics, facilitation, training and other services to organizations across the region.

1. Project Management & Delivery

- Support the coordination and management of selected projects in Latin America, including work connected to Venezuela.
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, participants, facilitators and client communications for assigned projects.
- Maintain project plans, timelines, Gantt charts, action logs and deliverable trackers.
- Follow up proactively on deadlines and outstanding actions.
- Liaise professionally with clients, partners, facilitators and participants.
- Support project reporting, participant feedback and lessons learned.
- Identify potential follow-on work or additional client needs during project delivery.
- Depending on experience, participate in needs-sensing interviews, workshops or selected training activities.

1. Learning & Development

- Prepare, adapt and proofread training decks, session materials and handouts in English and Spanish.
- Help develop and format PowerPoint presentations, workshop materials and session outlines.
- Support translation and localization of curricula and e-learning content between English and Spanish.
- Support online pilots and in-person workshops.
- Contribute to the development of Shiftbalance products and learning materials as required.

Candidate Profile

Essential

- Fluent Spanish and English , written and spoken.
- Based in Latin America and able to work effectively across Americas time zones.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Highly reliable and rigorous with follow-up and deadlines.




- Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks without requiring constant supervision.
- Strong written communication and research skills.
- Comfortable communicating professionally with clients and prospective clients.
- Comfortable using MS Office / Google Workspace, particularly PowerPoint and Excel/Sheets.
- Comfortable working remotely within a small, fast-moving international team.

Strong assets
- Experience in business development, project management, consulting, Learning & Development, HR, organizational development or training .
- Previous experience with UN agencies, INGOs, international development or humanitarian organizations .
- Experience preparing proposals or responding to tenders/RFPs.
- Experience managing client projects or coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the UN/INGO ecosystem in Latin America.
- Experience or strong familiarity with Venezuela.
- French would be a strong advantage.
- PowerPoint/design skills.

Duration & Next Steps This is initially a four-month consultancy engagement from September to December 2026 , fully remote.

Strong performance may lead to renewal and the opportunity to take on a longer-term regional role in 2027 as Shiftbalance expands its presence in Latin America.

Compensation: USD $1,000–$1,500/month, depending on experience and demonstrated ability to independently manage project and business-development responsibilities.

Location: Fully remote. Candidates must be based in Latin America. Applications from Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador and other Latin American countries are welcome.

Working hours: Candidates should be able to work core hours aligned with Americas time zones and collaborate with an international remote team.
