Overview

- Caseware, a leading Fintech company in Canada, is hiring a Software Developer in Test (SDET) for its quality engineering team.
- The role focuses on driving scalable, modern approaches to testing, automation, and developer enablement within Caseware’s SaaS Platform teams.
- The position is fully remote, based in Colombia.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with product teams to embed quality into every phase of development through tooling, automation, infrastructure, reporting, and best practices.
- Contribute to a modern quality strategy tailored to a rapidly scaling SaaS platform, focusing on improvements within the test pyramid.
- Enhance CI/CD and developer workflows by improving test data setup processes, test isolation, and execution reliability.
- Work with the test team to ensure timely completion of functionality and enhancements, leveraging AI Test Harnesses.
- Drive quality KPIs such as test coverage, defect trends, test effectiveness, and execution health.




- Contribute to fostering a quality-first mindset and aligning practices with core values.

Requirements/Skills/Qualifications

- 2+ years' experience in Quality Engineering teams within modern SaaS or platform organizations in cloud-native environments (AWS).
- Expertise in scaling automated testing infrastructure and integration with modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Workflows).
- Knowledge of testing strategies and tools across the pyramid, including unit to E2E testing (Cypress, Pact, K6).
- Solid front-end knowledge and testing fluency in HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Familiarity with observability tools and best practices for improving test signal and pipeline feedback loops.
- Strong communication and coaching skills to influence engineering and product stakeholders.
- Experience leading testing initiatives for distributed teams across multiple regions.
- Experience with QA tools like Zephyr Scale and on-prem CI/CD systems (GitHub).
- Strategic growth mindset with a desire to learn and mentor others.
- Keen interest in AI-powered testing tools like CoPilot, Devin, and Claude.
