Job: Production - Script Reader and Content Analyst

: This is a partime, offsite role The Script Reader and Content Analyst is responsible of reading and analyzing assigned incoming creative materials including submissions, projects in early stages of development internally at Netflix, and underlying IP, such as books, podcasts, and other source material, to assess their potential for development and production.

Materials may include full length screenplays, pilots, treatments, pitch decks, novels and other IP under consideration for adaptation. The role is designed to serve as an independent first audience,



evaluating each project on the strength of the material itself and providing an objective editorial perspective uninfluenced by relationships with the submitting party or prior internal advocacy around the project in order to keep the content analysis honest and free of bias.

The Script Reader delivers structured content analysis reports per assigned reading including and a clear final verdict on each evaluation, noting relevant strengths and weaknesses of the material reviewed, also providing thoughtful creative feedback and actionable recommendations to help strengthen materials recommended for further development.

Evaluations consider concept, story, structure, characters, tone, genre execution, originality, creative voice, cultural relevance, target audience, comparable titles, and overall development and market potential. For the underlying IP, the analysis also considers its potential for adaptation into film or television.
